As part of the Quva Group, Mateco faced the significant challenge of navigating the new and highly complex requirements of the Double Materiality Assessment (DMA). The legislation was entirely new territory for them, and understanding the DMA methodology—particularly the technical aspects like scoring—was a steep learning curve.
Adding to this complexity, the obligation to report lay with their parent company, making the DMA effort a part of a larger compliance framework under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
"Understanding the details of the CSRD and concepts such as the ESG Universe, Impact Risk and Opportunity, and Double Materiality Assessment would not have been possible in such an efficient manner without the support of Greenomy.
To succeed in this long journey, I can only recommend Greenomy for their availability, knowledge, and the support they provide."
Greenomy provided Mateco with a structured and detailed approach to mastering the DMA. Through a series of customised training sessions, or “kick-offs,” delivered at every phase of the process, Greenomy broke down the methodology into clear, actionable steps. Our expertise and practical guidance enabled Mateco’s team to tackle even the most technical aspects of the DMA, such as scoring, with confidence.
In addition to achieving compliance with the DMA, the collaboration also prepared Mateco for future CSRD reporting. By introducing them to key concepts shared between the DMA and CSRD frameworks, Greenomy equipped Mateco to efficiently manage the data collection and reporting requirements they will face from their parent company.
Greenomy’s expert guidance transformed a challenging process into an opportunity for long-term readiness, providing Mateco with the skills and confidence to meet both current and future regulatory demands.
